Welcome to Absolute Oceanfront Tourist Park

We are privately owned, and our park is managed by independent contract managers.  To ensure that your stay and that of others is safe and enjoyable, please read and observe the following occupancy conditions.

Reservation and Payment Policy

To secure your accommodation at Absolute Oceanfront Tourist Park, guests are required to provide valid payment details at the time of booking. Reservations will not be confirmed unless these payment details are supplied.

For all bookings, full payment must be received by a specified date prior to arrival. During off-peak periods, this payment is due 24 hours before the scheduled arrival date. In peak periods, full payment is required 7 days before arrival. If payment is not received by the designated deadline, the reservation may not be confirmed or may be subject to cancellation.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing directly to the park. A cancellation is considered “last minute” if it is made within 24 hours before arrival during the off-peak season, or within 7 days before arrival during peak season. Last minute cancellations will result in a charge equivalent to one night’s stay.

When a booking is cancelled, any monies paid may be credited to a client account for use on future stays. Please note that any credit held in a client account for future bookings is only valid for 12 months from the date of the original reservation. Credits must be used within this 12-month period and cannot be exchanged for a refund or transferred to another guest. The credit can only be used by the same guest, and booking details must match the name of the guest holding the credit in the account.

No credit or refund will be provided for early departures or for cancellations made after arrival. It is strongly recommended that all guests obtain travel insurance to cover circumstances not included in this cancellation policy.

Off-Peak Periods

For reservations during off-peak periods, guests are required to make full payment by a specified date prior to arrival. This designated date will be provided at the time of booking and is typically 24 hours before the scheduled arrival. If a cancellation is confirmed more than 24 hours prior to arrival, a full refund of monies paid will be issued. However, if the cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the reservation, the guest will forfeit an amount equivalent to one night’s stay. Any remaining balance from the payment may either be refunded or applied as a credit to the guest’s client account for use towards future stays, under the conditions outlined in the credit policy.

Peak Periods

For bookings during peak periods, full payment is also required by a designated date prior to arrival. This date will be communicated upon reservation and is generally set at approximately 7 days before arrival for selected peak periods. Should a guest cancel the booking before the date when full payment is due, all monies paid will be refunded in full. If the cancellation is made within 7 days of arrival, the guest will lose the equivalent of one night’s stay.

Third-Party Bookings

Booking and cancellation policies for reservations made through third-party websites may differ from those outlined above. Guests are advised to carefully review the specific booking conditions and terms and conditions provided on the respective booking website before confirming their reservation. It is important to refer to the policies stated by the third-party provider to ensure an understanding of their requirements regarding payments, cancellations, and refunds.

Payments, Deposits and Refund Policy

Minimum Stay Requirements

The Park Management retains the right to enforce a minimum stay requirement of either two or three nights during high season periods. This policy is implemented at the discretion of management to accommodate demand during peak times.

Long-Term Bookings

For reservations exceeding one month in duration, guests are required to make an initial payment equivalent to one week’s stay. This payment must be received at least seven days prior to the scheduled arrival date. Additionally, guest accounts must be maintained at all times with a minimum balance covering at least one week of accommodation in advance.

Refund Policy

Refunds or credits for cancellations may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to management approval.
If a credit is issued in lieu of a refund, it must be used within 12 months of the original booking date. Credits are not eligible for exchange for a cash refund.
All requests for refunds require approval from Park Management.
Guests who depart the park earlier than planned are not entitled to a refund for unused nights. The sole exception to this rule applies in situations involving severe weather or natural disasters, as detailed below and as determined by advice from the relevant Local Authorities:
A severe weather warning issued by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) that specifically names Bargara within the warning area.
Activation of the Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) to the “Stand Up” level.

In these exceptional circumstances, refunds will only be provided for nights that are unused due to the event.

Refund Rejection Policy

Our onsite managers maintain the discretion to decline refund claims under specific circumstances. Refunds may be refused in situations including, but not limited to, the following:

The guest chooses to arrive later than the scheduled date or departs earlier than planned.
The guest experiences a non-life-threatening illness during their stay.
Unpleasant or poor weather conditions occur during the stay.
The guest is dissatisfied with the accommodation or park facilities provided.

Additional Guest Charges

Additional fees apply for bookings that include more than two guests, regardless of the accommodation type. The charges are based on the age of the additional guests as follows:

Infants (0–2 years): Free of charge
Porta cot – $8 per cot per night
Children (3–15 years): $10 per child
Adults (16 years and over): $12 per adult

Dogs also incur an extra charge. For further details, please refer to our Dog Policy.

Damages and Theft Liability

Guests are personally responsible for the payment of their account. If a third party (such as a person, company, or association) indicated by the guest does not settle the account, the guest and the third party will be jointly and severally liable for payment. Any charges related to guest services or damage to park property that have not been settled at the time of departure may be billed to the guest’s account or charged to the credit card used for payment. An invoice outlining all outstanding charges will be sent to notify the guest of the amount due.

Dog Policy

We are delighted to welcome guests and their furry companions to our holiday park, which is open to dogs throughout the year. To ensure everyone enjoys their stay, including our four-legged friends, we have set out guidelines for guests who bring dogs.

Approval and Accommodation Requirements

All dogs must be approved by management prior to arrival. Guests are required to contact the park beforehand to arrange this. Please check that the accommodation you have booked displays the ‘dog-friendly’ symbol, confirming it is suitable for guests with dogs.

Each villa allows a maximum of two small dogs (up to 15kg each) or one large dog (up to 25kg). When booking a dog-friendly cabin, an additional charge of $45 (minimum) applies.

Supervision and Control

Dogs must be supervised at all times and must not be left unattended, including inside designated dog-friendly villas or any other accommodation. During your stay, dogs must remain on a leash and under the owner’s control at all times.

Access Restrictions

Dogs are not permitted in communal areas, including the BBQ and pool areas.

Owner Responsibilities

Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs, including toilet duties. For health and safety reasons, dogs must not be washed or cleaned anywhere within the property. Dog-related accessories, such as blankets, must also not be cleaned within the park, including in laundry washing machines, bathtubs and pools.

Liability and Indemnity

All dog owners, whether expressly agreed or not, accept full responsibility and liability for their dog’s presence in the park. Owners indemnify Absolute Oceanfront Tourist Park all damages, claims, or suits that may result from their dog being anywhere in the holiday park.

Management Rights

Park management reserves the right to evict, without refund, any guest whose dog is considered noisy, disruptive, aggressive, or has been the subject of complaints from other guests.
